<Back A Church Service in My Mother Tongue

One Sunday a young soldier came to a village church. Expecting to hear the service in the trade language, as is customary, the soldier was surprised to hear the service being conducted in his mother tongue, Fuliiru. Then the pastor announced that he was going to preach in Fuliiru as well. The soldier was so moved that at the end he asked if he could be permitted to sing a short song, which he did: a praise song to the Lord in Fuliiru. As he left, he said, "This was so wonderful, to be in a church service in my mother tongue!"
